Calculation Method of M- and T-axis Currents for MTPA Control in Stator Flux Linkage Synchronous Frame

This paper proposes a relationship between the M- and T-axis currents for maximum torque per ampere control of a permanent magnet synchronous motor. The validity of the proposed relationship is confirmed using finite element analysis. The M- and T-axis current control system is also evaluated by simulation.
