Multibeam interference canceller based on order extended fast algorithms

This paper proposes a novel multibeam interference canceller which can achieve a high transmission performance in multiuser environments over mobile communication channels. Although the multibeam interference canceller has several kinds of tap vectors which define the directivity patterns of the multibeam, the multibeam interference canceller based on the order extended fast algorithm can estimate these tap vectors through only one Kalman gain vectors update. Hence, a multibeam interference canceller based on the order extended fast algorithm can be implemented with little computational complexity. The multibeam interference canceller based on the multibeam order extended fast algorithm achieves a rapid convergence to the theoretical upper bound and has a superior performance by 6 dB to the conventional decision feedback adaptive array.
