Management protocol of a reconfigurable WDM ring network using SDH overhead bytes

In summary, node reconfiguration and alarm management in a WDM ring network was achieved. Supervisory information was carried using a data communication channel (DCC) with overhead bytes of the SDH frame. A management protocol for node reconfiguration was successfully demonstrated.
