Estimating the keratoconus index from ultrasound images of the human cornea

The keratoconus index (KI) is a new biometric parameter to make diagnosis and to follow the development of the keratoconus in human eyes. Using images from an ultrasound biomicroscope, the authors show a semi-automatic method to speed up the computation of the KI.
