What are we really evaluating?

Summary form only given. Computer Engineering 183X and 184X, Computer Engineering and Problem Solving I and II, were designed as courses for computer engineering students involved in the learning community within Iowa State University's Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. As part of a learning community, the courses were designed to be flexible, but include subject matter elements of computer engineering and cooperative learning. Because of the dual (technical and social) learning objectives, questions of evaluating student performance arise.
