Image Processing for Quality Control in Manufacturing Process

the quality assurance process is function of bringing computers into quality control in place of the factory staff. The objective of this research is to study the feasibility for finding to the latest ideas for development in quality control system of Digital Video Display (DVD) inspection in the industrial process. The disadvantage of conventional method that used human inspections are error-prone, take a long time inspection per unit and others. This frame work based on the digital image processing technique for automatically quality inspection. Image processing involves changing the nature of an image in order to either; 1) Improve its pictorials information for human interpretation, 2) Renders it more suitable for autonomous machine perception. This research shall be concerned with digital image processing, which involves using a computer to change the nature of digital image. It is necessary to realizes that these two aspects represent two separate but equally importance aspect of image processing. The experimental results the system is able to perfect substitute to conventional method that used human inspection. Human error, inspection timing, quality control inspector and other costs reducing are the benefit of this research. (Employees: error-detection rate =0.015%, time of checking (piece) =10s), The System: error-detection rate =0.001%, time of checking (piece) =6s).
