Application of the geometrical theory of diffraction and the expansion wave concept for the modelling of planar antennas located on a finite ground plane

The analysis of planar antennas located on a finite ground plane is performed by using the postulates of the geometrical theory of diffraction (GTD) with the diffraction coefficients calculated by an integral equation technique. This technique takes into consideration the main substrate and antenna parameters. Comparison with other methods is presented.
