Study and analysis on a high-frequency current-source single-stage PFC converter

The study and analysis of a high-frequency current-source (CS) single-stage power-factor-correction (S/sup 2/PFC) converter is presented in this paper. The general principles of the S/sup 2/PFC techniques are introduced first. Based on the general principles, this paper focuses on the CS S/sup 2/PFC technique and explores the effects of different circuit parameters on the input current THD and current ripple, the switch current stress, the energy-storage capacitor voltage stress and the overall efficiency. Simulation and experimental data are given to support the study and analysis.
