Influence of wind speed on the reliability of low-voltage overhead power lines

The article presents the influence of atmospheric conditions, represented by wind speed, on the intensity of failure of overhead low-voltage power lines. The method for determining the intensity of damage to power devices in the function of wind speed is presented. The dependence of the failure removal time on the wind speed was also determined. Empirical results obtained for low-voltage overhead power lines operated in distribution power grids in Poland are presented.
