Output Feedback Fault-tolerant Control for Lead-Wing Close Formation Flight

This study investigates the position-tracking and attitude-tracking control problem for the Lead-Wing close formations in the presence of actuator faults. An output feedback fault-tolerant control design is developed to achieve the tracking property and to guarantee the robust stability of the close formation system while maneuvering the Lead unmanned aerial vehicle. The sufficient condition of the feasible solution of the proposed nonlinear inequalities is given. Simulation results of the close formations validate the effectiveness of the output feedback fault-tolerant control strategy.
