ESD protection measures - return on investment calculation and case study

The basic idea of this paper is to clearly show the expenses consequential to insufficient ESD/ESDS protection (ESD=Electrostatic Discharge, ESDS=Electrostatic Discharge Sensitive Devices) or to faults in the ESD protection concept, the annual costs of ESD protection measures and the benefit that can be realized by the consistent implementation of ESD protection measures.
