Direct Torque Control of Induction Motor Drive Using TMS320F28335 Digital Signal Controller

Direct Torque Control (DTC) is one of the most popular control strategies of an induction motor. It provides a decoupled control of torque and flux, providing quick torque response and speed regulation. In this paper, a delta modulation based hysteresis control scheme is used for flux and torque control of a 2hp 50Hz 4-pole Squirrel cage induction motor. The simulation is done by MATLAB SIMULINK and the hardware verification is done using TMS320F28335 digital signal controller. Experimental results obtained prove the feasibility of the scheme.
