Periodic orbits and chaos in a class of discrete dynamic systems

Regular and chaotic dynamics in an extensive class of discrete dynamical systems in the form x/sub n+1/=/spl mu/x/sub n//sup r/(/spl lambda//sub 1/x/sub n//sup k+/spl alpha//+/spl lambda//sub 2/x/sub n//sup k+/spl alpha/-1/+/spl middot//spl middot//spl middot/+/spl lambda//sub k/x/sub n//sup /spl alpha/+1/) were investigated, and consequently the work of May (1974), Chang (1981) and Hu (1982) had been extended to a general case.
