Abstract:

Temperature field distribution in transformers active components and oil velocity variation in the tank are important for device properties and its duration of operation. From the point of view of designers and users, these characteristics of the transformers are considerable in determining the possibility of overloading and the consequences in the lifetime by exploitation at different temperatures. In the present work, the conjugate heat transfer methodology has been employed to predict the thermal and flow properties of investigated object. 3D model has been developed using finite element method and COMSOL program.
