An Unknown Territory to Explore!

This is my first time writing a column (although I co-authored an article for Instrumentation and Measurement Magazine [1]), and I am very happy for this and at the same time afraid of not being on top of it. My first concern, starting writing, was about the most suitable way to start with greetings. For my work, I am used to writing more or less formal emails, but personally I have never thought about how to greet the readers of a non-technical article in a column like this one. So, the first thing I have done is to take inspiration from my predecessors and looked online for the best way how to begin with salutation and greetings. I was surprised of the number of sites and amount of advice on this subject. It seems that the problem is not just mine!
