Ordinary and polaritonic photodetectors and chemical sensors on the basis of Schottky barrier with corrugated interface

In this paper, we propose ordinary and new (polaritonic) photodetectors and optochemical sensors based on Schottky barrier with corrugated interface. Such metal-semiconductor interfaces with various microrelief morphology (dendrites, quasigratings and diffraction gratings) were used as active ones. We demonstrate that the photosensitivity control of the detectors over a wide range of visible spectrum may be attainable either with variation of the microrelief features and passivation treatments or with usage of suitable overlayer of Schottky junction.
