Low Insertion Loss and Power Efficient 32 × 32 Silicon Photonics Switch with Extremely-High-Δ PLC Connector

Introduction of optimized structures and a 5.5%-Δ-PLC fiber connector achieved the minimum fiber-to-fiber insertion loss of 9.2 dB and a power consumption of 1.9 W, which are 1/100 and <;1/4 of the previous switch, respectively.
