Emerging Technologies Based on Chip-Scale Stimulated Brillouin Scattering

We explore emerging chip-scale technologies based on Brillouin interactions and their potential impact for optical communications. In particular, we examine the benefits of new chip-scale ultra-narrow linewidth laser sources and new Brillouin-based filtering technologies.
