AE characteristic and tribological behavior of nano sliders on laser textured disks

In this paper we employed acoustic emission (AE), laser Doppler vibrometer(LDV), and strain gage (SG) techniques to study the tribological performance of various ABS and LZT designs. With certain ABS designs, we found that dynamic characteristics of the ABS play an important roll which is believed directly associated with the reliability performance of the head/media interface.
