Kharitonov regions: it suffices to check a subset of vertex polynomials

The authors deal with the D-stability property of interval polynomials. In particular, they show that certain D-domains are Kharitonov regions. That is, the D-stability of interval polynomials is implied by the D-stability of all its vertex polynomials. They then proceed to show that it suffices to check the D-stability of a subset of the vertex polynomials.<
