Research of the noise influence on software phase-locked loop dynamic performance

The goal of this paper is an experimental study of the software phase-locked loop (PLL) noise and the analysis of the influence of the noise power and the parameters of the incoming frequency modulated (FM) signal on the PLL efficiency. The article considers two criteria for parameters optimization for better noise filtering of the desired signal-by the value of the PLL noise bandwidth and by matching the PLL frequency response with the input FM signal spectrum.
