Performance of TCP Vegas According to Alfa and Beta Parameters in Hybrid Scenarios with Bursts Errors

This paper develops an analysis of the behavior of the variant TCP Vegas for different values of the alpha and beta parameters. When performing the study of the performance of the protocol, a series of tests were performed using the ns-2 simulator, on a hybrid topology (wired and wireless), also incorporating burst errors of different lengths, typical of wireless links. End-to-end delay and throughput metrics were used as a performance benchmark.
