Ytterbium nanoparticles fabricated by fs-laser ablation Raman spectroscopy study

Ytterbium nanoparticles have been fabricated by means of metal film fs-laser ablation in heptane with surface active reagent (SAR). The micellar solution of nanoparticles in the ablation process acquired a brown color. Ytterbium nanoparticles laser ablation was carried out on Theta 25/30 AVESTA (Russia) femtosecond pulsed laser unit with energy of 5 and 10 μJ. Ytterbium nanoparticles film was prepared by equal volume surface active reagent 5-times pouring on glass surface. Metallic ytterbium thin films were also fabricated from Yb powder by means 10 ton pressure. The samples were studied by Raman spectroscopy method with laser excitation wavelength of 473 nm.
