A fast optimized algorithm based on the NSGA — II for microwave windows

Based on the Mode-Matching Technique (MMT), a fast optimized method based on NSGA-II (Non-Dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm) algorithm is proposed for design of waveguide windows. Unlike the conventional micro-genetic algorithm, we construct two different objective functions as optimal goals of NSGA-II and the values of the objective functions are evaluated fast and accurately by MMT. For a waveguide window of W-Band folded waveguide Traveling-Wave Tube, the optimized results have shown excellent transmission performance from 83GHz to 103GHz with S11 less than -25dB, which is yielded with population size of 25 in less than fifteen iterations.
