Dynamic model of a three-dimensional flexible cantilever beam attached a moving hub

In this paper, a three-dimensional flexible cantilever beam with a moving hub is considered, where the Euler-Bernoulli beam theory is employed. Equations of motion of the cantilever beam system are derived by using Hamilton's principle. Moreover, the dynamic analysis of system is performed based on the reduced order model obtained by the Galerkin method. In addition, the resonance frequencies are determined. Finally, both numerical simulations and experiments is used to verify the dynamic model of the cantilever beam, where the consistency between the simulation and experimental results was shown.
