Autumn gold in Beijing - EMC Beijing 2017

Line Eight of the marvelous Beijing Subway (地铁or, literally, “Earth Iron”) takes riders along the northern extension of an imaginary line that connects the Forbidden City in the center of the city to the vast complex built to host the 2008 Olympics. We enjoyed a few days of “Golden Autumn” in Beijing, which was just revealing the golden hues of the many gingko, willow and locust trees that thrive around the city.
