Interleaver design for short frame turbo codes for 3/sup rd/ generation mobile communication system

This paper presents an interleaver design procedure for short frame turbo code in 3/sup rd/ generation mobile communication systems. Simulation shows that the performance of the turbo code can be obviously enhanced by the interleaver obtained from the proposed design procedure.
