Non-line-of-sight channel modeling for millimeter wave mobile communications with diffracted and reflected rays

The paper analyzes the model of the millimeter-wave channel budget, taking into account the peculiarities of narrow-beam antenna radiation. It is proposed to calculate the gain factor for the line-of-sight and non-line-of-sight channels in urban environments due to diffraction and reflection. A multi-beam model is proposed that determines the total gain and loss of the millimeter wave channel, which is the result of diffraction, reflection, absorption, excess of the path of the rays, divergence of the rays. The developed analytical multi-beam model can be used in the design of millimeter-wave mobile systems for the urban scenario, which will significantly improve energy efficiency.
