A new method to reduce the dip duration by optimizing the protecting setting value

Voltage dip is the unavoidable phenomenon in the grid. The duration of the dip depends on the protection setting value. This paper proposes a new method to optimize the protecting setting value, taking the industry customers' process immunity time into account. By building a simulation model of dying process in an automobile industry plant, and applying the typical three-Section protection scheme in China, the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed method are verified.
