Growth and Success—Looking Forward to 2018 and Beyond

Time flies and I am excited to write this Editorial to share with you a few important highlights of the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks and Learning Systems (TNNLS). We have enjoyed another very successful year for the journal in many aspects.

The latest impact factor of TNNLS is 6.108 according to the Journal Citation Reports. This marks a historical high impact factor for our journal and places TNNLS as the number three scholarly publication in Computer Science (Hardware & Architecture), number three in Computer Science (Theory & Methods), and number 15 in all Electrical and Electronic Engineering journals.

The number of submissions in the past year reached the 1400 mark, another historical high in terms of manuscript submissions. This is another strong indicator of a healthy and continuous growth of the journal and the community. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all our editorial board members and reviewers for all their dedicated hard work and service to the journal to ensure a timely and comprehensive review of each and every submission to keep the highest quality of the journal.
