Robust extraction of low contrast edges using clustering-based segmentation and refinement

This paper further explores the concept of line-support regions for extracting edges from low contrast images. The current method obtains the support regions by using clustering-based segmentation and refines the support regions by using split and merge techniques. Alternative methods for fitting line to cluster are presented.
