A propose of optimizing power generated by photovoltaic power generation

In this paper, a concept to optimize power generated by a stand-alone photovoltaic (PV) system is proposed. A modification of algorithm control technique for optimizing of battery charging, overcharge protection and maximum power tracking have implemented. The optimum power generated can be achieved by improving the control technique (bootstrap technique) of P&O maximum power point tracking (MPPT) in a non-isolated synchronous DC-DC buck converter for battery charging. Experimental result shown that with this MPPT control technique, the power generated by system increasing 13% than system without implementation, and the efficiency of synchronous DC-DC buck converter is 80%.
