Error estimation of characteristic numbers in the modified successive approximation method

To solve the eigenvalue problem with a completely continuous operator the modified successive approximation method is used. A method to estimate the linear part of the calculation errors is proposed. The questions of a priori estimation of the calculated characteristic numbers of the operator is discussed.
