3d Printed vibrotactile actuator with permanent magnet and additional inductance

In the world is about one billion of disabled people. About one third of these people are people with mobility or movements impairments. For most part of people, high precision prosthetic devices with neural control and feedback are very expensive. Almost all average price prosthetic devices have visual feedback system, which loads user vision. To solve these two problems decided develop prosthetic devices with vibration feedback system. Vibration motors must work in wide range of frequency spectrum and produce controlled intensity in every frequency point. In this paper described 3d printed permanent magnet voice coil motor VCM with additional inductors and without them. As main parameter for comparison frequency-acceleration dependence. As result extended additional inductors strongly affect the acceleration at low currents.
