The experimental study on the influence of debugging parameters of DC contactor on contact breaking velocity and rebound

Contact over-travel and over-travel spring pre-pressure are important debugging parameters of the contactor, which affect contact breaking velocity and rebound. Based on the electromagnetic mechanism of actual products, a dynamic characteristic experimental system was built to realize the adjustment of over-travel and pre-pressure and the measurement of contact breaking velocity and displacement. The influence of over-travel and pre-pressure on contact breaking velocity and rebound was studied experimentally. On the basis of the finite element simulation of electromagnetic mechanism, the experimental results were analyzed and explained by means of the match of static electromagnetic force and spring force characteristics and the principle of energy conversion, which provided an improvement direction for further reduction of rebound volume. In consideration of the rebound, an appropriate pre-pressure and over-travel parameters were finally determined in terms of the contact breaking velocity that offered the scientific basis for product debugging parameters determination.
