A hybrid frequency domain approach for blind embedding of data in Mr images for hospital data management — A review

Medical images could be acquired from analytical modalities like Digital Radiography, Nuclear medicine bone scan, Ultrasound Scan Images, Computer Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, and Patient's Record management system. The progresses in combined use of media and information technology afford us to utilize the new behavior to allocate right to use and accumulate medicinal statistics. This has introduced new menace for improper utility of medical prescription and diagnosis details passing in unsecure and multiuser accessibility networks. Medical images are highly sensitive and contain critical data. Acquisition, Processing and Reconstruction should be done in a careful and systematic manner. It should have minimal distortion after processing, failing which may lead to severe consequences. The DICOM is a Communication standard that was especially for medical images to smooth the progress of safe communication and protected storage for medical images along with the patient's personal, hospital details and prescription details. In this paper, we recommend a amalgam algorithm which merges encryption and watermarking techniques in order to present the required genuineness and reliability services. It reviews several aspects about embedding and extraction techniques in the medical domain.
