Partial discharge location on high voltage cables

This paper describes a new technique of locating partial discharge (PD) in HV cables. This method of location allows PD sites to be located on-line. An analogue model was built to test and verify the proposed method. A detailed description of the performance of the new method on the analogue model is presented.
