Disruptive Technologies, Ethics, and Global Development [Guest Editorial]

Presents highlights from the 2016 IEEE International Symposium on Technology and Society (ISTAS 2016) that was held in Trivandrum, Kerala, India, October 20– 22, 2016. Hosted by the IEEE Kerala Section, the Symposium brought together engineers, technologists, development activists, policy makers, NGOs, researchers, social scientists, and students to discuss social and societal implications of emerging technologies.
