Scattering amplitudes in the direction of limit rays

In this paper we study the problem of diffraction of a plane wave by the smooth elongated bodies of revolution (axially symmetric case) within the framework of short-wave approximation. We calculate the scattering amplitudes in the direction of limit rays and study the influence of scatterer prolateness on the amplitudes.
