Noise amplification of periodic nonuniform sampling

We discuss periodic nonuniform sampling as described by Yen (1956). Such a sampling scheme is more sensitive to additive white noise than uniform sampling. We give an explicit formula for the noise amplification of periodic nonuniform sampling compared with uniform sampling.
