Hitachi Ltd. has been conducting research, development and experiments on a product lifecycle management system using radiofrequency identification (RF-ID) tags, based on next-generation identification technology, in order to correctly collect and process used products. This system makes it possible to collect and process used products efficiently and to correctly monitor the product status, from collection to processing.
