Fast Pulse Time Delay Estimation Algorithm Based on Variable Step Size Iteration

Aiming at the problem that the signal-to-noise ratio of the cumulative pulse contour is low and the accu racy of the pulsar navigation and positioning is affected, a fast pulse time delay estimation algorithm based on va riable step size iteration is proposed.Firstly,the algorith m calculated one-dimensional slice of standard pulse pro file signal and pulse profile signal by using the third-cum ulant.Then,we got the accurate time delay by estimating the maximum fitting of two slice signals.In order to impr ove the efficiency of the algorithm, the variable step size iterative search technique is used in this paper.The expe rimental results show that:compared with Taylor FFT, c ross correlation (CC) and glowworm swarm opti mizatio n algorithm (GSO), the proposed algorithm has high esti mation accuracy and fast performance in low SNR.
