Network Interface UPnP Mechanism of IEEE 1451 Smart Sensor

In order to achieve network interface plug and play (PnP) of IEEE 1451 networked smart sensor, this paper presents network interface's universal plug and play (UPnP) mechanism of IEEE 1451 networked smart sensor. Firstly, UPnP based IEEE 1451 networked smart sensor system structure is set up. The self-recognition information conversion between IEEE 1451 model and UPnP model are elaborated. Scheduling delay based sensing service discovery protocol (SD-SSDP) and information axiom based multi-index sensing device optimization (IA-MISDO) are proposed and researched specially. Then IEEE 1451/UPnP network bridge is designed to realize data format conversion, command format conversion, self-recognition information conversion and protocol conversion. The simulation experiment result shows that the correct reception rate of response message of SD-SSDP is 100%. The real experiment result shows that modified UPnP based IEEE 1451 networked smart sensor system's device update success rate is higher than 98.89% and its service update success rate is higher than 98.86%.
