Diagnosis methods of cardiovascular disease, based on the acoustic-mechanotron principle of pulse wave sensing are considered. The proposed method of graphic recording of the pulse wave and pulse oscillation uses a device developed by the authors - sphygmograph Biotonar

with acoustic sensitive pressure sensor, called acoustic mechanotron. By acoustic mechanotron with a modulated interelectrode gap imposed in the surface of the arteries, the mechanical oscillations of the artery wall are captured and converted into electric signals which then recorded as sphygmogram. The form of the pulse wave reflects a rate of pressure change in the arterial system, the condition of the vessel wall and the heart valve operation. It is shown that the use of an acoustic mechanotron as a pulse wave sensor can significantly improve the accuracy and reliability of real-time measurements under diagnostics monitoring of human hemodynamic parameters.
