Pipe weld X-ray image distortion removal

Approach for geometrical and blur distortion compensation of objects on X-ray images is developed. The purpose of the approach consists of minimization of distortions caused by the projective nature of X-ray imaging on results of weld inspection in nondestructive testing. Prior knowledge on analyzed object is exploited to simplify complexity of image rectification problem. Proposed approach is used for X-ray images of pipe welds. Experimental results are presented.
