High efficient transformer less MOSFET single phase inverter for PV systems

In recent times there has been a great demand for transformerless inverter due to its high efficiency, low cost, reliability. If transformers are not used in grid tied photo voltaic systems there exists a galvanic connection between the grid and the photo voltaic (PV) system. Due to this hazardous leakage currents (Common Mode Currents) can appear across the stray capacitance between the photo voltaic system and the ground. In order to overcome this issues various inverter designs which do not give common mode currents such as half bridge and the bipolar pulse width modulation (PWM) full bridge topologies are used. Though bipolar PWM full bridge eliminates the leakage currents it has low efficiency and it does not have reactive power injection to the grid. The proposed system focuses on reactive power injection to the grid and it has overall efficiency of 98.54% which is 2% higher than conventional inverters.
