The inductive component in common impedance coupling and ground bounce

In order to explain common impedance coupling and ground bounce the common conductor is usually modelled as having an impedance consisting of an inductance and a resistance. In this paper, it is demonstrated, based on experimental results and by referring to the natural law of induction, that this concept has to be modified in that the inductive component is not any inductance of the common conductor, but is mutual inductive coupling. This means that common impedance coupling and ground bounce is in fact a combination of resistive and mutual inductive coupling.
