Description of the windings of the electromagnetic energy converters using the modified T0 method

The paper deals with method of description of the stranded windings of the electromagnetic energy converters. The approach, based on current flow equations and the current vector potential T

formulation, for the magnetic field sources and turns space arrangement description has been proposed. The modification of known T
₀
method by incorporating to model equations the additional coefficients correcting the conductivity of the domains has been proposed to achieve homogenization of the current density vector distribution in the winding domains of electromagnetic energy converters. For determining the distribution of the T
₀
potential the edge element method (EEM) has been employed. The comparative analysis between the current density distributions determined by means of the classical and discussed modified T
₀
approach has been conducted on a case study problem.
