Electromagnetic safety: Potential for development

This article presents the findings of a study analyzing the potential for development of technological groups and technologies for the technical and scientific area of “Electromagnetic Safety” (EMS). In this study, electromagnetic experts assessed a number of parameters for each technological group, such as the current level of development in Russia and worldwide; the potential for development by 2030 in terms of probable economic, social and technical effects; the probability of coming up with Russian world-class inventions with a large market volume by 2030; and the market demand for the products based on the inventions of technological groups by 2030. The experts assessed the significance of drivers and barriers for the development of the area in general. Based on the results, a ranking was compiled of the potential for development of EMS technological groups in Russia.
