Development of an iOS application: Altitude estimator in a local area

Mobile applications which use location services and maps are one of the most downloaded application by users worldwide. Mobile location services determine latitude and longitude, but not altitude value of a position. In this case, only 2D map applications could be developed. However, many applications could be defined for 3D as vista photographing etc. if the altitude value can determine. In this paper, the altitude value of a position is tried to determine by using inverse distance weighting interpolation according to measured point's altitude values.
